Welcome to Agriculture Academy!

Welcome to a Hands-On Way to Learn About Today’s Agriculture!
Teachers, schools, and organizations can request grant funds to support agricultural education for their students. MACA is passionate about educating youth on the importance of agriculture in our daily lives. These grant funds provide a meaningful way to reach students and inspire their understanding of agriculture’s impact on our world.

The Mission

The mission of Agriculture Academy is to educate students from kindergarten through 12th grade about the importance of agriculture. The Mid America CropLife Association (MACA) recognizes the essential role agriculture plays in our everyday lives. Through Agriculture Academy, MACA supports teachers, schools, and organizations that are committed to teaching agricultural concepts but may need financial assistance.

To help advance these efforts, MACA is pleased to offer grants of up to $1,000 through the Agriculture Academy grant program.

Michigan – Branch Line School
Monthly garden club focused on hands-on learning and the full gardening process, building understanding of agriculture and food systems

Missouri – High Point R-3 School District
Year-round greenhouse project teaching plant growth and care through hands-on learning

Missouri – Blades Elementary School
Introductory agriculture program exploring food systems, plant growth, and the importance of agriculture

Illinois – Pawnee Junior/Senior High School
Greenhouse and STEM-based programming focused on sustainable agriculture

Illinois – Edwardsville High School
Horticulture program emphasizing sustainable pest and weed management

Iowa – Cardinal Elementary School
Chick life-cycle project teaching animal science and agriculture basics

Michigan – Oceana County 4-H
Broad agricultural programming including livestock education, safety, and career exploration

Iowa – Loess Hills Ag in the Classroom
Multi-county outreach program with hands-on lessons and agricultural career exposure

Iowa – Fayette County Extension and Outreach
“Read Across Iowa” program focused on pollinators, plant science, and renewable resources

Michigan – Oceana County Farm Bureau
Expansion of Ag in the Classroom programming to increase agricultural literacy

Iowa – Carstens 1880 Farmstead Kids Day
Large-scale educational event serving 350–400 students with hands-on agricultural demonstrations

Indiana – Bellmont Schools
Aquaponics system teaching plant and animal science, crop production, and sustainable agriculture practices

Michigan – MSU Extension Oakland County 4-H
Expansion of the chicken embryology program with hands-on science learning
